Suzanne
Owner/Director

My name is Suzanne Wheeler Johnson and I have been at Pacifica Playschool all my life. My grandmother Mrs. Day started the preschool in 1959. I have three amazing children, which my husband Fred and I have raised, and we are now empty nesters. I love coming to work and being surrounded by the loving and energetic preschool children. I am also active with the Moose Lodge and have recently become a Board Member for Pacificaís Chamber of Commerce. My husband and I enjoy motorcycle riding, NASCAR and of course the San Francisco Giants! I am blessed to have such a strong dedicated staff and a wonderful school. Pacifica Playschool has won Best Preschool for 3 years running :)

Christine

My name is Christine but everyone calls me Tina. I started working at Pacifica Playschool in 1992. It is not just work it is like working with family. I went to Skyline College to complete my Early Childhood Education units. The most rewarding part of my job is being able to see their imagination and creativity come to life. I also like to travel with my husband and spend time with family and friends.

Sarah

My name is *Sarah* and Iíve been working here at Pacifica Playschool since January of 2002. I started as a part-time teacherís assistant while I was attending San Jose State University. I received my BA in Child and Adolescent Development with a minor in Psychology in the Fall of 2006 and began working full-time as a teacher in the Preschool classroom (2-3yrs). At that time I also received my Site Supervisor Teaching Permit. One of the reasons why I love the younger age group so much is their creativity and imagination. As one of the lead Preschool teachers I do our Circle Time daily and plan the Preschool classí curriculum. I most recently attended De Anza College and received my Early Childhood Education Mental Health Certificate in 2016. When Iím not enjoying my time at Pacifica Playschool or continuing my education, Iím trying to convert everyone into an environmentalist! I also enjoy music and hiking and try to stay involved within Kappa Delta, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. I look forward to welcoming you into our Pacifica Playschool family!

Alyssa

My name is Alyssa, I started working at Pacifica Playschool full time in 2011. Before then I attended Sonoma State University and worked full time at a preschool as the head teacher for the two year olds in Rohnert Park were majority of the children had special needs. I earned my Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education (Certificate or Teaching Permit) from Skyline in 2009. I am also currently enrolled at San Francisco State pursuing my Special Education Teaching Credential. At Pacifica Playschool I am a teacher in the preschool (two and three year olds) classroom which consists of helping the children wave out the window as their caregiver leaves, and reassuring both of them they are in a safe, healthy and caring environment. The options are endless. Engaging and participating in activities with the children range from playing card games, duck duck goose, dancing, building, baking, dramatic play, stories, art, those are just a few of the activities myself as well as the rest of the staff at Pacifica Playschool do with the children on a daily basis. My favorite aspect of being a preschool teacher is watching the children grow and develop every day and seeing the steps and milestones they reach as they become more prepared for kindergarten. I look forward to meeting you.

Pacifica Playschool has become a second home from its amazing co-workers to its wonderful families that it provides for. I have loved working here at Pacifica Playschool for the past few years and look very forward to the many years to come.

Casey

My name is Casey and I started working at Pacifica Playschool in February 2014. I help in both the Preschool and Pre-K classrooms as well as help prepare snacks and meals. I am a mother of two and love having my youngest join me here at Pacifica Playschool. Being a mother did not entirely prepare me for being a Teacherís Assistant and that is why I am currently taking some Early Childhood Education classes at Skyline College. I welcome all the new families and hope they find Pacifica Playschool as much of a home as my family and I have.
